L'Orchestre

Placé sous la direction d’un chef d’orchestre professionnel, l’Orchestre des Nations Unies Genève sera constitué de musiciens amateurs passionnés et fondé sur la base d’une association. Il travaillera 3 ou 4 programmes par saison (septembre à juin), chacun pouvant être donné une ou plusieurs fois en concert en différents lieux.

Les programmes abordés seront constitués de chefs-d’œuvre du grand répertoire (de Bach à Bernstein), en fonction de l’effectif à disposition.

Les pièces concertantes mettront en scène des solistes invités prestigieux.

Les répétitions auront lieu une fois par semaine au BIT.

The Orchestra

Conducted by a professional conductor, the United Nations Orchestra of Geneva will be composed of avid amateur musicians and founded on the principles of an association.

The Orchestra will prepare 3 or 4 different programmes per season (September to June). Each of these programmes may be performed once or several times at different locations.

The programs may consist of well known works (from Bach to Bernstein), subject to the number of orchestra members available, as well as concertos and arias, featuring prestigious guest soloists.

Rehearsals will take place once a week at the ILO.
